From a one-room office to three generations
- 1940Doors open in New BrunswickLouis Barrood founds Barrood Real Estate in a one-room office with his brothers David and Phillip.
- WWIIThree brothers go to warAll three serve overseas. Their father, William Barrood, keeps the business running while they are away.
- 1945Home againThe brothers return and set about rebuilding and growing the firm.
- 1950A house becomes an officeThe family buys a house and remodels it into its new office.
- 196550 Paterson StreetA move to the heart of the New Brunswick business district, and a period of fast growth.
- 1973Easton Avenue, Franklin TownshipThe main office opens at 700 Easton Avenue, with township resident David P. Barrood as managing broker.
- TodayThe next generationThe next generation of Barroods still runs the business, led by broker Louis Barrood, alongside agents and staff who have become part of an extended Barrood family.
